Doing Life Together

Doing Life Together

In the modern world everyone has busy schedules and our time can be somewhat fractured. We’ve found that church fellowship and community is most successfully built when it is intentional. Lifegroups, our small group communities based upon Acts 2:42-47, meet around the City. The best way to quickly “Get Real” and start building authentic relationships is to find a Lifegroup and stick with it. Lifegroups are also where we facilitate discipleship and mentoring, an important part of one’s Christian journey. Find A LifeGroup Visit our welcome center on Sunday morning and afternoon to find a list of Lifegroup locations, with directions and contact information. If you aren’t able to stop by the welcome center, you can always keep visiting our Site for updates on our LifeGroups. LifeGroup List can be seen here below, click on the Map Pin to view the info: Strict Note ” it is NOT OK to call or Contact the Host with Commercial interest of any kind or forms!”  [google_map_easy...
Using our time, talents…

Using our time, talents…

Using our time, talents, and spiritual gifts to make a difference 🙂 Imagine what our families, church, and community would be like if we all took the time to do what God uniquely designed each of us to do in serving others. The ripple effect of each person making their unique contribution would result in a revolution of Christ’s love being felt in tangible, life-changing ways. Whether you have lots of time to volunteer each week or only a few hours every once in a while, consider making the kind of impact that only you can make. Your life will never be the same! “Every day wherever you are, you can make a difference for the people around you. On Sundays we come together as a Church to worship God, welcome new friends, grow in love and serve one another, as each part does its work. Our church is not build on the talents of a few but rather the sacrifice of the many. We would love to welcome you into our team. Please contact us here, or connect on Sundays at the info desk so we can help you join a team. Together we can make a difference. Where do I start? Begin by asking yourself, “What am I passionate about?” What issue or people group really catches your interest? What problem or issue would you like to solve? Next, consider how God has uniquely wired you. Consider your personality, skills, abilities, and life experiences. How could these help you make a meaningful contribution in the lives of others? As you think of these questions, get ready to enter a grand adventure,...
Stewardship

Stewardship

The faithful use of our resources begins with realizing that God owns everything! All that we have comes from him, and therefore we don’t really own anything; we are merely stewards—overseers or managers—over things that belong to God. Psalm 50:10-12: “For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are mine.” Faithful stewardship of our resources is an indicator of our spiritual health. When we are generous and faithful in managing and giving of our resources, we show that our trust is in God—that God, not our possessions, is the source of our life. Matthew 6:19-21: “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” A Giving Heart Scripture has much to say about our motives and attitudes toward giving. Here is a sampling: Giving is to be generous, not stingy.2 Corinthians 9:6: “The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” Giving is to be enthusiastic, not grudging. 2 Corinthians 9:7: “Each one must give as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Giving is to be discreet, not showy.Matthew...
